Aim:
Presentation of the 1-year results of mucoderm® used for buccal mucosal thickness augmentation at osseointegrated single implants with facial peri-implant soft tissue deficiencies.

Material and Methods:
Buccal soft tissue thickening was performed in 10 patients in the maxilla or the mandible, respectively. In the surgical approach the coronally advanced flap (CAF) was combined with mucoderm®. Clinical parameters: KTH, STT, PD, BoP, PI were taken at baseline (2 weeks before surgery) and 1 year after final restoration.

Results/Conclusion:
The studied mucoderm® matrix in combination with CAF was effective in increasing the buccal soft tissue by 1.2 +/- 0.18mm at single implant sites in the aesthetic zone.
