GBR with cerabone® and Jason® membrane

Dr. Alfonso Caiazzo demonstrates augmentation of a bone wall defect in the anterior maxilla.

Dr. Caiazzo is Vice President of the Italian Academy of Osteointegration (IAO) and founding member of the European Society of Dental & Craniofacial Stem Cells (ESDCSC). He is author of several articles in international journals and maintains a practice limited to oral surgery and implant dentistry in Salerno, Italy.

After extraction of the central incisor and granulation tissue removal, autologous bone chips were harvested from the adjacent site. Jason® membrane was applied and fixated at the buccal bone using titanium pins. Autologous bone was applied to the bone defect followed by a layer of small cerabone® granules. Jason® membrane was placed over the bone graft and pinned crestally. Final suturing of the flap was performed to achieve primary wound closure.
